Wesley Sowell—nicknamed “Shaggy” back when it wasn’t ironic—was born and raised in Springdale, Arkansas, with only a short detour to Missouri. He’s known since the 7th grade that he wanted to be an attorney, but along the way, sports played a big part in shaping who he is.
As a kid, Wesley was involved in just about every sport he could find. That passion led him to play collegiate golf for three years before transferring to the University of Arkansas, where he earned degrees in criminal justice and sociology. He went on to complete a graduate degree in sports management, also at the U of A.
For the next six years, Wesley worked with the Arkansas Razorback Athletic Department, helping host countless games, concerts, and graduations. But through all the excitement, his dream of becoming an attorney never faded. He eventually made the leap, attending the University of Arkansas School of Law and gaining valuable experience clerking at several top law firms in the state.
Today, Wesley finds deep joy in helping people navigate challenges and find solutions. Outside of the office, you’ll most likely find him outdoors—either on the lake or the golf course.
