Lydia Julian—“Lyd” to those closest to her—was born on a military base in Spokane, Washington, and grew up in Eagle River, Alaska. She’s also lived in Texas before eventually settling in Arkansas in 2011, which she now calls home. As a child, she dreamed of becoming a government agent, drawn to the idea of serving and protecting others.

Lydia’s academic path began at the University of Central Arkansas, where she studied Criminology. She later earned a master’s degree in Professional and Technical Writing from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Her interest in criminology came from a lifelong fascination with the justice system, while her love of writing has been both a creative outlet and a practical tool throughout her career.
