Cayla Murphy, known to her family and friends as KayKay, is a Litigation Paralegal at Punchwork Law. Born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana, and a proud Parkway High School graduate, Cayla has built her career around something she has always enjoyed: helping people.
Interestingly, Cayla once imagined herself becoming a teacher. Instead, she found her calling in the legal field. After attending college in Bossier City and earning her Paralegal Certificate, she began a career in law that has now spanned nearly a decade. During that time, she has worked as both a Legal Assistant and Paralegal across many areas of law, but litigation quickly became her favorite. She enjoys the pace, the problem-solving, and the opportunity to make a real difference in someone’s situation.
What Cayla loves most about her work is seeing how much the right support can change someone’s life. She finds purpose in knowing that the work she does can help people move forward during difficult times.
When she’s away from work, Cayla is happiest at home with the people she loves. She enjoys reading, relaxing with her husband, watching their favorite shows, and cheering on some football. She’s also perfectly happy to sneak in a nap whenever she gets the chance. And, according to Cayla, one of her hobbies is annoying her husband—just a little.
Cayla has been married to her husband and best friend for five years, and together they enjoy spending time with their three amazing kids. Their family also includes a lively two-year-old nephew, a Goldendoodle named Tanger, and a cat named Ellington, or Elle. When they’re ready to escape the house, the family loves heading to the lake or spending time at the beach.
For Cayla, home is where she feels most at ease—and where her favorite people, pets, books, and football games are never too far away.
