Joanna Whittaker, fondly called โJoโ by her close friends, is a dedicated attorney who has been an Arkansan through and through. Born and raised in Maumelle, Joanna attended North Little Rock High School (NLRHS) and later pursued higher education at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR), earning dual bachelorโs degrees in Sociology and Criminal Justice, with a minor in Human Services. Joanna completed her formal education at the Bowen School of Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctorate (JD).
Before her legal career, Joanna worked closely with children, gaining valuable experience as a church nursery worker, camp counselor, and daycare staff member at a local gym. These experiences nurtured her desire to make a positive difference in peopleโs lives, ultimately leading her to the legal field. Before becoming a licensed attorney, she worked as a legal assistant at a small firm, honing her skills and deepening her passion for law.
Joanna is driven by her commitment to making a meaningful impact on her clientsโ lives. She values the opportunity to help create positive outcomes, a mission that is at the heart of her legal practice.
Outside of the office, Joanna enjoys a dynamic array of hobbies. She is a proud dog mom to two lovable boys who keep her busy, whether playing with them in the yard or spending quiet moments together. When sheโs not with her dogs, Joanna can be found binge-watching her latest Netflix obsession, diving into a good book, playing on her Nintendo Switch or PS5, or engaging in more tranquil activities like solving puzzles or coloring. Whether staying active outdoors or relaxing indoors, she enjoys balancing her downtime between busyness and relaxation.
Joanna is also incredibly close to her family, including her supportive parents and three older siblings. As the youngest of four, she often jokes that her parents โsaved the best for last.โ She credits her family, particularly her parents, as her biggest supporters, always cheering her on through every stage of her journey.
