Born and raised in Durban, South Africa, Micaela—known to family and friends as Kayla or Mic—has always been driven by a desire to make a difference. From as young as 10 years old, she dreamed of becoming a lawyer, motivated by a passion to help and uplift those around her as well as her wider community.
School wasn’t always her favorite, but discovering her love for law changed everything. That passion fueled her academic success—she matriculated in 2019 with a bachelor’s pass and distinctions and went on to graduate cum laude in Legal Studies. Along the way, she’s gained experience across sales, marketing, administration, and client services, giving her a well-rounded foundation and a strong set of people skills.
