Born and raised in Durban, South Africa, Michelle—often called “Mich” by those close to her—always dreamed of becoming a flight attendant so she could see the world. While life took her on a different path, her career journey has still been one of growth, learning, and purpose.
Michelle studied Business Management at university and is currently pursuing a degree in Management Accounting part-time. She has built her career in the accounting field over the past eight years, beginning as a debtors clerk for a catering company, then moving into the role of finance administrator at an international chemicals and food distributor. Most recently, she worked as an accounting specialist for a climate change company. Each step has strengthened her skills in finance while also deepening her interest in people-centered work.
Today, Michelle finds fulfillment in being the first point of contact for individuals navigating difficult workplace situations. She values being a compassionate listener, gathering important details, and providing guidance that helps people feel supported and less overwhelmed. For her, making a difference often begins with simply making someone feel heard.
Outside of work, Michelle enjoys shopping, reading, and diving into a thrilling series. She also loves recharging with quiet moments at the beach or by getting lost in a good book. Above all, family time is her greatest joy. Married and a proud mom to a 10-year-old son who keeps her on her toes, Michelle treasures the balance of professional growth and family life.
